About Soundscapes:The Work
Sound isn’t what happens while you’re waiting for the picture to begin.
It is the picture.
Sound speaks to people. Across every medium.
We make sure you’re saying the right thing.
Because first impressions don’t get do-overs.

Spiritkeeper
This elegantly crafted trailer isn’t for a movie…it’s for a book by Lynn Biederstadt! Enjoy the great sound design by Soundscapes’ John Crowley with video by Chris Cranford of Jones Film & Video.
-
Comfort Systems
Just as white space is essential to design, silence can be really effective in radio. Here’s a perfect, wonderfully-written example. John Crowley produced it. Bob Davis voices it.
-
Sixty Second Theater
This is actually more entertaining than the movie itself. Listen fast for all the fun that’s jam-packed into sixty short seconds.
-
Feed the Birds
Using sound effects to help paint the picture is not only fun… it’s our passion.
*No birds were harmed in the making of this spot. -
7-Eleven – Sounds Good
A huge on-going radio campaign for 7-Eleven delivers the answer to the question, “What’s the sound of someone thoroughly enjoying a 7-Eleven product?”.
Here’s an example… Sounds Good!
-
NDOT Zero Fatalities
It’s easy to get carried away with dramatic music and over-the-top sound effects.
This spot uses a “less is more” approach and relies on the listeners’ imagination for the heavy dramatic lifting.
-
Utah Symphony – Revenge
Rigoletto is an opera which tells the story of revenge… gone wrong. A special voice was needed to set the tone for this dark tale. Bruce Jay was the perfect choice for this spot… of course, the fact that he swallowed a sub-woofer when he was a teenager didn’t hurt.
-
Harding University TV
For a series of spots for Harding University we were asked to create some custom music that would capture the spirit of the school. We think the music helped make the beautiful visuals and the beautiful copy look and sound even more, well… beautiful.
-
Ozone Action Days
Before directing talent on a spot like this, you have to know how the finished product will sound! That’s why we do pre-production with you. It results in a much tastier finished spot.

DigiTel-Rocketman
Subtle SFX sweetening moves video from good to great.
