About
Soundscapes

When entrepreneur Burt Sounds opened his first and only cape store in 1928, he couldn’t have possibly imagined his business would still be around almost a century later.
Though Sound’s Capes is long gone, Soundscapes thrives to this day because of our focus on
the four C’s:  Creative, Casting, Custom Music and produCtion:

ProduCtion:

You’ve got a clever, sharp script and just-right voice talent ready to roll — all that’s missing is a pair of expert hands to guide all of the parts into perfect harmony. And bodies attached to those hands. Bodies with heads that have brains and mouths which give the right direction, offer great suggestions and select spot-on effects and music to create the perfect “theater of the mind” that is great radio. At Soundscapes, we’ve got those hands and brains and mouths with big smiles. And they’re all smiling for you.

Casting:

Though it’s not a bad thing to get deliriously lost within our bountiful online archive of talent demos, you can always rely on our production coordinators to deliver the best choices of the best voices to bring your script to life. They make it look easy, but their goal is always to make your production as easy as possible for you.

Custom Music:

Original music ensures your production has a fully original sound. It can be as big & complex or as small & simple as you need it to be. Soundscapes’ custom music plays a major supporting role to help make your message the star. Like an expert tailor, we craft your music to your exact specifications, but unlike a tailor, we never put our tape measure anywhere near your crotch.

Creative:

The cornerstone of most successful audio production is a great script. Soundscapes works with some of the strongest, most award-winningest copywriters in the country, and we even keep a few on call for occasions when a client needs an extra boost of creative awesomeness.
